| Activate Development Tools |
Activate is the software development environment for Linedancer. Consisting of a compiler, linker and debugger running under Windows or Linux, the Activate toolchain provides a familiar environment for programmers.
Overview
Linedancer is programmed in C, with some parallel extensions to support the ASProCore vector processing unit. The extended C language is known as A-code.
The Activate toolchain runs on PC platforms under Windows or Linux operating systems, and is used to compile A-code for the embedded RISC core in the Linedancer processor.
The toolchain includes a compiler, linker, and debugger for the Linedancer processor.
The Activate toolchain is based on the industry standard GNU compiler framework, with dedicated pre- and post-processing tools to compile and optimize the parallel extensions to C.

Accelera 2208 Development System
The Activate toolchain comes complete with a PCI plug-in card, the Accelera 2208, which contains two Linedancer processors and external DRAM memory.
The universal PCI format allows easy installation in most desktop or server-class machines.
For higher processing performance, the Activate toolchain is also compatible with the four-chip Accelera 3000 PCI-X card.
