Advanced WiMAX (802.16d/802.16e) PHY
Aspex Semiconductor’s™ WiMAX Physical Layer (PHY) platform is a Software Defined Radio for 802.16d/e built around the Linedancer™ family of Extreme Processors, targeted at advanced, high performance WiMAX infrastructure applications.

Software Defined Radio with advanced multi-antenna support for 802.16e
With full software programmability and support for up to 8 antennas per chip, the Aspex platform gives WiMAX vendors the ability to differentiate their products by adding their own expertise and IP.

With Linedancer, vendors can create flexible, future proof and highly differentiated products that can be upgraded in the field as WiMAX standards evolve.

Support for advanced multi-antenna techniques such as beamforming and MIMO allows operators to deploy infrastructure which can adapt its footprint as the WiMAX subscriber base grows, giving significantly greater coverage, higher capacity, reduced risk, and an improved return-on-investment.
