Plug-and-play scalability with neighbour link ports
The 1-dimensional “string" layout of the ASProCore array makes it easy to scale performance, simply by adding more chips to the system.
Integrated neighbour ports allow Linedancer chips to share data with adjacent chips, and for ASProCore Processing Elements to access data stored in other APEs.
This operation is transparent to the programmer, and no software changes are required to take advantage of additional processors in the string.
Unlike traditional multiprocessor architectures, Linedancer delivers a linear performance increase with the number of processors in the system.
