Senior ASIC Design Engineer - Permanent Role - REF: DE19

Job Title: Senior ASIC Design Engineer

Reports to: Director of ASIC Development

Location: The role will be based at our UK headquarters in High Wycombe

Start Date: Immediate

Job Description:

  • Design and implementation of high performance low power video processing chips.
    Block level specification.
    RTL coding at block and chip level.
    Block level and chip level verification.
    Synthesis and static timing analysis



Technical Skills – Mandatory:

  • Good experience in digital ASIC design using RTL
    Hands on experience with the latest tools and languages.
    Excellent high level design, coding and problem solving skills.
    A track record of executing projects on time.


Technical Skills – Desirable

:
Experience of ASIC design of video processing devices.
Proficient with SVN or other source control tools

Other Skills:

Enthusiastic, proactive, imaginative & self-motivated.
Team player, with effective self organisational skills.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer - Permanent Role - REF: VE18

Job Title: Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Reports to: Director of ASIC Development

Location: The role will be based at our UK headquarters in High Wycombe

Start Date: Immediate


Job Description:

  • Lead the verification effort, taking responsibility for all stages of the verification cycle
    Architect the ASIC verification environment.
    Introduce advanced verification methods.
    Create verification plans for chip and block level.
    Execute verification plans for Aspex devices
    .
    Technical Skills – Mandatory:
  • Deep knowledge and experience in digital ASIC verification
  • Hands on experience with the latest tools and languages (Specman / SystemVerilog / SystemC / e / etc )
  • Detailed knowledge of front-end SoC design using RTL.
  • Excellent high level design, coding and troubleshooting skills.
  • A track record of executing verification projects products to high quality on time.

Technical Skills – Desirable:

  • Experience of verification of video devices.
  • Proficient with SVN or other source control tools.


Other Skills:

Enthusiastic, proactive, imaginative & self-motivated.

Team player, with effective organisational skills and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent written & verbal communication skills are required for the role.

Aspex will be recruiting for graduates in 2012.  If you wish to be considered for the Aspex Graduate Recruitment Program 2012, please submit your CV., even if you are in the first or second year of your studies. We may be able to offer Summer holiday work during your degree and a permananent position when you qualify.
